  A health indicator is a numeric measure of the public health status of a population.
  
  Indicator reports are brief reports, similar to a fact sheet or data brief, that provide graphs, maps, data tables, and explanatory information for a specific public health issue, such as why it's important, what the current status is, and what is being done to improve it.
