Why Is This Important?
Kidney failure treated with dialysis or a kidney transplant is called end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Diabetes and high blood pressure are the main causes of ESRD.[https://www.cdc.gov/kidney-disease/risk-factors/index.html ^1^]
