  A health indicator is a numeric measure of the public health status of a population.
  
  Indicator reports are brief reports, similar to a fact sheet or data brief, that provide graphs, maps, data tables, and explanatory information for a specific public health issue, such as why it's important, what the current status is, and what is being done to improve it. In a typical year, about 35% of all deaths among New Jersey residents are of persons aged 85 years and over.

Data Notes

CLRD = chronic lower respiratory diseases 2010-2020 rates use population estimates from the Vintage 2020 postcensal series based on the April 2010 Census. 2021 rates use Vintage 2021 population estimates based on the Blended Base produced by the US Census Bureau. 2010-2020 rates will be recalculated when the US Census Bureau releases 2010-2020 intercensal estimates in late 2024.
