    This module returns hospital inpatient discharge counts for New Jersey by year(s), age, race/ethnicity, sex, diagnosis, primary payer, discharge status, and geographic area of residence.

  • Crude Rates

    This module returns the number of inpatient discharges, the number in the population, the crude rate (inpatient discharges per 10,000 persons), and the upper and lower 95% confidence interval limits for the rate.

  • Age-Adjusted Rates

    This module returns the number of inpatient hospital discharges, the number in the population, the age-adjusted discharge rate (inpatient discharges per 10,000 persons, age-standardized to the U.S. 2000 population), and the upper and lower 95% confidence interval limits for the rate.

  • Count

    Treat and Release: A patient who visits the ED, but is not admitted to another department of the hospital. This includes patients who were discharged home, transferred to another health care facility, left against medical advice, left without being seen, or died.
