What's New in NJSHAD Version 3
On June 11, 2024, we released the current version of NJSHAD, adapted from NM-IBIS version 3. While countless changes were made on the back-end, here's what's new for you, the end user.
- Updated "look and feel" throughout the site
- Single menu across the top for ease of navigation
- Social media, email, and print share buttons on every page
- Lots of new pop-up help text
Community Profiles
- New communities added for disability status, educational attainment level, poverty status, and sex
- Change communities or indicator sets right on the profile page. No more separate selection page.
- Indicator definitions moved to info pop-ups to unclutter the profiles
- Sortable columns
Indicator Reports
- New views added to many reports
- Eight new reports added
- More ways to search reports: by data view, data source, DOH program, or publication date
- Fully sortable and filterable report index
- Export to Excel button for data tables
- Navigation links across the top of each report
- Link to associated Health Topic page(s)
- Summary Report view of all graphs together
- Graphs and maps are included in Complete Report view
Dataset Queries
- Measure description included in query criteria on result page
- Navigation links across the top of each result page
- A handy list of which demographic and geographic data are available in each query dataset
